My Invitations

The My Invitations page shows all the events you’ve been invited to by other people. This is separate from your own events that you’ve created and are hosting.

What is My Invitations?

My Invitations is a central place to view and manage all the events where you’re a guest, not the host. It gives you quick access to:

• View invitations you’ve received

• See your RSVP status for each event

• Access invitation details and event information

• Track upcoming events you’re attending

How Does It Work?

Dear automatically matches invitations to your account based on your email address. When someone creates an event and adds you as an attendee using your email, that invitation will appear in your My Invitations page once you log in.

Important: The email address on your Dear account must match the email address the host used when inviting you. If you’re not seeing an expected invitation, check that the host used the correct email address.

My Invitations vs My Events

Think of it this way:

• My Events = Events you’re throwing

• My Invitations = Events you’re attending

Viewing Your Invitations

Navigate to My Invitations from the sidebar. You can view your invitations in different formats:

Card View

Shows each invitation as a card with:

• Event image or template thumbnail

• Event name and date

• Host information

• Your current RSVP status

• Quick link to view the full invitation

List View

A compact list showing:

• Event name

• Host name

• Event date

• RSVP status badge

• View invitation button

Calendar View

See your invitations displayed on a calendar to visualise upcoming events you’re attending.

Accessing the Full Invitation

Click on an invitation card or the View Invitation button to open the full invitation in a new tab. From there you can:

• See all event details

• View the beautifully designed invitation

• Update your RSVP response

• Add or manage plus-ones (if allowed)

RSVP Status

Each invitation shows your current RSVP status:

• Pending - You haven’t responded yet

• Attending - You’ve confirmed you’re going

• Not Attending - You’ve declined the invitation

• Maybe - You’re unsure and may attend

You can update your RSVP at any time by clicking through to the invitation.

Don’t See an Expected Invitation?

If you’re expecting an invitation that isn’t showing:

1. Check your email - Make sure the host used the same email address as your Dear account

2. Ask the host - Confirm they’ve added you as an attendee

3. Check spam - The invitation email might be in your spam folder

4. Wait a moment - New invitations may take a moment to appear
