Adding Plus-Ones

Some events allow you to bring additional guests. This guide explains how to add plus-ones (additional guests) to your RSVP.

Can I Bring Guests?

Whether you can bring guests depends on how the host set up your invitation:

  • Unlimited guests - Add as many as you like

  • Limited guests - A specific number (e.g., “You may bring up to 2 guests”)

  • No guests - The invitation is for you only

You’ll see this information when you RSVP as “Attending”.

How to Add Guests

Step 1: RSVP as Attending

  1. Open your invitation

  2. Click Attending

  3. A form will appear with your details

Step 2: Find the Guests Section

Scroll down to find the Guests section. If you don’t see it, either:

  • The event doesn’t allow additional guests

  • You’re the only person on this invitation

Step 3: Add Your Guests

  1. Click Add Guest

  2. Enter the guest’s name

  3. Fill in any additional questions the host has set up

  4. Repeat for each guest you’re bringing

Step 4: Submit Your RSVP

Once all guests are added:

  1. Review the information

  2. Click Confirm or Submit

Guest Limits

If the host has set a guest limit, you’ll see a message like:

“Please confirm the names of the 2 guests in attendance.”

  • You cannot add more guests than allowed

  • The Add Guest button will disappear once you reach the limit

Information Requested for Guests

For each guest, you may need to provide:

  • Name (always required)

  • Dietary requirements - If the event involves food

  • Other questions - Any custom questions the host has set up

Each guest’s information is collected separately to help the host plan.

Removing Guests

If you need to remove a guest:

  1. Return to your invitation

  2. RSVP as Attending again

  3. In the guests section, find the guest to remove

  4. Click the delete/remove button next to their name

  5. Submit your updated RSVP

Changing Guest Details

To update information for a guest:

  1. Return to your invitation

  2. RSVP as Attending

  3. The form will show your current guests

  4. Update the information as needed

  5. Submit your changes

Tips

  • Confirm names - Make sure guest names are spelled correctly

  • Check the limit - Don’t assume you can bring extra guests

  • Update if plans change - Remove guests who can no longer attend

  • Complete all fields - Fill in dietary requirements to help the host plan

Common Questions

Q: Can I add guests after I’ve already RSVPed?

Yes! Return to your invitation and update your RSVP anytime.

Q: What if I need to bring more guests than allowed?

Contact the host directly to discuss. They may be able to adjust your limit.

Q: Do my guests need to RSVP separately?

No. When you add guests to your RSVP, you’re responding on their behalf.
