Viewing Invoices

Keep track of your payments and download invoices for your records. Dear provides access to your complete billing history through Stripe’s billing portal.

Accessing Your Invoices

Step 1: Go to Subscription Settings

  1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner

  2. Select Profile

  3. Click on the Subscription tab

Step 2: Open the Billing Portal

  1. Click Manage Billing in the header

  2. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure billing portal

  3. Your invoices and billing history are displayed here

What You’ll Find

In the billing portal, you can view:

Invoice List

A complete history of all charges including:

  • Subscription payments

  • Template purchases

  • The date of each charge

  • Amount paid

  • Payment status

Invoice Details

Click on any invoice to see:

  • Itemised breakdown

  • Payment method used

  • Invoice number

  • Date and time

Downloading Invoices

To download an invoice as a PDF:

  1. Open the billing portal

  2. Find the invoice you need

  3. Click to view the invoice details

  4. Look for the Download or PDF option

  5. Save the file to your device

Downloaded invoices include all details needed for expense reports or tax purposes.

Email Receipts

In addition to invoices in the portal:

  • A receipt is emailed after each successful payment

  • Receipts go to your account email address

  • Check your spam folder if you don’t see them

Invoice Types

Subscription Invoices

Generated monthly for your subscription renewal:

  • Shows your plan name (Starter, Pro, Premium, Elite)

  • Billing period covered

  • Recurring charge amount

Template Purchase Invoices

Generated for one-time template purchases:

  • Template name

  • Event size selected

  • One-time purchase amount

Billing Cycle

For subscriptions:

  • Your billing cycle starts when you first subscribe

  • Invoices are generated on the same date each month

  • Example: If you subscribed on the 15th, you’re billed on the 15th each month

Common Questions

Q: Can I get a copy of an old invoice?

Yes. All invoices are available in the billing portal, regardless of when the payment was made.

Q: How do I update my billing email?

Update your email in your Dear profile. This will update where receipts are sent.

Q: Can I add a company name to invoices?

Business details can be added in the Stripe billing portal under your account settings.

Q: What if I don’t see Manage Billing?

The Manage Billing button only appears if you have an active subscription. For template purchases without a subscription, receipts are sent via email.
